You probably fry your bacon on a pan, don’t you?
Stop that. Oven cook your bacon.
You can do more at once and you can cook it evenly much easier. Cook your bacon in the oven.
Ingredients
Bacon. It’s bacon. Just bacon.
How to Cook Bacon in the Oven
Oven cooked bacon is actually a bit easier than frying pan bacon. You simply preheat your oven and you cook it for a pre-determined amount of time.
So preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Pull your bacon out of the fridge while you wait for the oven to preheat. Bacon is easier to handle when it’s not too cold.
Place the bacon on a baking sheet with a cooking rack. Place it evenly spaced and flat against the baking sheet.
Once your oven has preheated, place the baking sheet in the oven. Depending on how you prefer your bacon be cooked, you can leave it in there for anywhere from ten to fifteen minutes.
Once it’s done, remove it with tongs or something. It’s hot.
Bacon Cooking Tips
- Save the grease for use in delicious unhealthy dishes. It can be kept in the fridge after cooling.
- Because the bacon you get from oven-baking it is so perfectly flat, you can make pretty much the best BLT sandwiches ever.
- This is also the obvious way of making a bacon weave. How else would you do it?
- Pair with scrambled eggs. Because that’s probably what bacon is for.
